What? A Nutcracker-themed tea party with delightful food and activities and an exclusive Backstage Experience

Why? To enjoy all things Nutcracker and support ballet in the greater Huntsville area!

Celebrate the most magical time of the year at the Huntsville Ballet Guild's 3rd Annual Sugarplum Fairy Tea. Geared toward children 4–14 and their parents, grandparents and friends, this Nutcracker-themed tea features classic and child-friendly tea sandwiches, hot cocoa and tea, delightful desserts and other goodies. 

From storytime with a ballerina with classic Christmas and Nutcracker decor to a pen-and-paper silent auction to complete your holiday shopping to ornament decorating, this beloved tradition is sure to please the ballet lover in your family.

Don't miss our special Backstage Experience! Attendees will venture to the ballroom to see Huntsville Ballet Company's Nutcracker costumes up close and learn about them from costumer Lisa Ordway. A professional dancer will also give a stage makeup tutorial and then there will be a brief dance lesson featuring a section of this year's Nutcracker Ballet.

The Sugarplum Fairy Tea is an offical Toys for Tots location and features real "Toy Soldiers" (heroic United States Marines) who will collect new, unwrapped toys at the entrance of the tea party!
